Braces 03.11.2009 - 27.01.2011
(January 27, 2011)Today my heart is breaking as I have had let Braces go.
As you know she has had SRMA and sadly the steroids to treat the illness weakend her joints and ligaments and she suffered bilateral cruciate ligament rupture; apparently this can happen in rare cases. As I was assured that she would have quality of life I went ahead and allowed her to have an operation to repair one the ligaments with the other to be repaired in 8-12 weeks time. Sadly 3 weeks post op the repair failed and she was unable to walk this morning and was in pain. As I loved her too much to see her suffering anymore I made the awful decision to have her put to sleep. I miss her so much!
